Advancing the Vision - Preservation and Disaster Relief

As the improvements to the Leadership Training Center go forward, the FFA Foundation Board believes that this is also the right time to provide for the protection of its substantial investment, and the investments of its donors. Therefore, the Foundation plans to create a reserve fund of $2.5 million to provide for the future preservation, repair, and renovation of the Center’s facilities.
This will be a contingency fund, to be used and replenished at the Board’s discretion. It will be substantial enough to help restore or replace facilities that might be damaged by some natural disaster, such as a flood or hurricane. Because the cost of insurance in Florida has become prohibitive, the Foundation has no alternative but to build its own resources.
