Florida FFA Foundation Advancing the Vision Capital Campaign
In the Fall of 2006, the Florida FFA Foundation contracted a marketing/feasibility study to determine the effectiveness of a capital campaign. The survey of 75 key people throughout Florida validated the need and funding for an $8.5 M campaign. The survey also identified funding sources, leadership positions and stressed the need for vital areas of concern.
In February, 2007, the foundation Board of Directors entered into an 18 month contract to conduct the first Capital Campaign initiative in 20 years. The campaign entitled "Advancing the Vision" set up campaign headquarters in office space provided at the Florida FFA Leadership Training Center. The campaign will focus on four major initiatives:
- Funds to renovate and refurbish existing facilities
- Funds to complete construction
- Endowment funds for academic scholarships, teacher in-service and leadership development
- A Preservation and Disaster Relief Fund
The campaign leadership is asking former FFA members, current FFA members, teachers, parents, alumni and business and industry to join our efforts to better serve 15,000 young people in Florida.
